I have described the idea behind these books (to look close-up at the details of colour, pattern, finish and furnishing which make each of these styles so distinctive and desirable) above in the web page on Country Style. Sadly, these four little books are no longer in print individually. This means you can’t buy them new in a bookshop. You might be lucky in a second-hand book shop, however. Cottage in particular has become something of a collector’s item. I wish I had stocked up with it at the time – I was offered a second-hand copy recently at what I thought was an exorbitant price! However, I’m delighted that it’s considered so valuable. You can enjoy all four books together in Country Style, which is also extremely good value (four books for the price of one of the originals).
